The week that was: Week 7
Happy Valentine’s Day. Are you doing anything romantic tonight? I think Peter and I are getting a takeaway and watching a film at home. Not massively different to our usual Friday night together! I have to say, I am really not a fan of Valentine’s day. I think it’s a bit pointless. It’s nice to have a day to celebrate love, but at the same time, I’d rather be in a relationship that celebrates love all year round, rather than just one day a year. And if I wasn’t in a relationship, all it would do is make me feel a bit shit! So, I guess I’m a bit of a Grinch about it all. How do you feel about it? It seems to really divide opinion!
This week’s reading:
- Two books from work – Beyond Grace’s Rainbow – a story about a group of friends as one of them deals with finding out she has cancer (more uplifting than that sounds), and No Harm Comes to a Good Man, a very dark thriller – both very good but could not have been more different from one another!
- I’ve been enjoying reading bloggers’ answers to the questions set by them as part of the Liebsters. I was nominated by Michelle alongside The Digital Iris, Made by Molu, Lotts and Lots and Rusty Rambles and I nominated a few people as well – find out who right here.
- Watching, rather than reading, this fairly shocking, but not unsurprising video about Facebook fraud
- Watching this amazing mini speech from a Texas sports anchor about the US college football player who recently came out as gay.
