The week that was: Week 7

The week that was: Week 7

Happy Valentine’s Day. Are you doing anything romantic tonight? I think Peter and I are getting a takeaway and watching a film at home. Not massively different to our usual Friday night together! I have to say, I am really not a fan of Valentine’s day. I think it’s a bit pointless. It’s nice to have a day to celebrate love, but at the same time, I’d rather be in a relationship that celebrates love all year round, rather than just one day a year. And if I wasn’t in a relationship, all it would do is make me feel a bit shit! So, I guess I’m a bit of a Grinch about it all. How do you feel about it? It seems to really divide opinion!

Hey Katie, I’m with you on the whole Valentine’s thing. Stu and I don’t attach any real meaning to today; there are other dates and times that are so much more important to us. If anything, it’s an excuse to have a night in with a good meal and a film – which is what we’ll be doing.
Love the idea of the books – got to say thanks for recommending the Fault in Our Stars. I’m a really slow reader but I finished it within a week and really enjoyed it. The film version looks good too. Just started Life After Life and enjoying that too – maybe this will be the year for more reading? 🙂

Oh, glad to hear you enjoyed Fault in Our Stars! I didn’t realise there was a film – will have to go track down a trailer for that now. I LOVED Life After Life. It is a bit of a slow start, but got completely sucked in to it by the end! Also glad to hear that it’s not just me who isn’t taking on Valentine’s Day that much. I’m looking forward to a quiet night in!
